  • Big Data Analysis to Model Political Regime Change following the Expansion of Neoliberalism
  • Big Data Analysis to Rethink the Theory of Good Governance in Indonesia

Overview

The purpose of our sub-unit is to use big data to 1) construct a model of political regime change following the expansion of neoliberalism, and 2) reconsider the theory of good governance with Indonesia as a case study. Using large-scale data and text data, we analyze the political process in emerging economies, particularly issues related to public opinion formation and electoral behavior. In addition, we investigate the impact of digitalization on democracy, including the distortion of public opinion due to the spread of social networking services.
