Overview
- Our sub-unit conducts quantitative analyses of the social impacts of large-scale peat and forest fires, quantitative analyses of air pollution caused by peat and forest fires, and epidemiological analyses of haze caused by peat and forest fires. We also monitor changes in black carbon dynamics associated with forest fires and slash-and-burn agriculture. In the course of conducting studies, we accumulate monitoring and analytical data related to nature and the environment, develop a radar data distribution system, and transfer technology to local Indonesian counterparts.
