• Digital Archiving of Field Surveys

Overview

Within the theme of archiving field research, our sub-unit examines environmental perception change in today’s Internet society. This subunit works to digitally archive field research by: 1) collecting, integrating, and visualizing data in various formats, including photos, videos, statistical data, and maps produced during fieldwork on themes related to the interaction between nature and human activities, and 2) exploring new methodologies and technologies to extract field survey data, such as text mining and virtual reality. Finally, we create databases to enhance access to data collected in field surveys.
